Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-04

Summary

We hash every lookup value before storing it. We collect the bare minimum to operate the service. You can request deletion at any time. This page explains the details.

What we collect

When you use the Skopio Telegram bot we record: your Telegram user ID, your Telegram username (if set), the language code Telegram sends, the category of each lookup you run, the SHA-256 hash of the lookup value (never the value itself), the timestamp of each query, and any subscription or payment metadata returned by the payment provider you choose.

What we do NOT collect

We do not store the plaintext of phone numbers, emails, names, photos, or any other lookup value. We do not request your real name, email, address, or government identifier. We do not embed third-party trackers in this website beyond what is required for analytics and abuse prevention.

How we use it

We use the data to: (1) run the lookup you requested, (2) enforce per-user rate limits and subscription tiers, (3) detect abuse (mass automated queries, scraping, fraud), (4) aggregate anonymous usage statistics, (5) bill paying customers via the payment provider you selected.

What we share

We do not sell user data. We share data with: (a) the payment provider you choose (Telegram Stars, CryptoBot, or YooKassa) to process your subscription, (b) law enforcement upon receipt of a valid legal request from a competent authority, (c) infrastructure subprocessors (cloud hosting, error monitoring) under contractual confidentiality.

How long we keep it

Lookup hashes and metadata: 90 days, then permanently deleted. Subscription and billing records: 7 years (EU bookkeeping requirement). Inactive accounts (no activity for 12 months): purged on request or automatically after 24 months.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your data. Send /privacy to the bot to receive an export of everything tied to your Telegram ID. Send /forget to permanently delete your account.

Lawful basis

We process data on the basis of (a) contract performance (delivering the service you signed up for), (b) legitimate interest (preventing abuse), and (c) your explicit consent (for optional features).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change and material updates will be announced inside the bot.
